ABOUT
JODI SUMMER

Coming all the way from the great divine, Jodi Summer is an amalgamation of a singer/songwriter/drag artist/dancer, currently residing in Brighton, UK. With their main weapon of choice being electro- and synth-pop, Jodi is not afraid to also get funky with their sound and reach for more acoustic instruments, anything to get your feet moving. By combining the best of both worlds with synthesizers and instruments like pianos, bass and saxophones, as well as bringing the attitude and theatrics with their vocals, (not to mention the riveting choreographies) Summer is always coming hot to give the audience one hell of a show they won’t soon forget. The most influential artists for Jodi, regarding both the sound as well as the lyrical quality and style, would be proud members of the LGBT community as well as fierce women in the industry such as Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Kesha.

Jodi’s first inspiration for becoming a musician came from finding out about Lady Gaga and the impact she has had on her audience both with her music and artistry, which ultimately lead to them enrolling on a course at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford. Ever since then, they have worked hard to improve not just as a vocalist, but also as a songwriter, producers, makeup artist and more to become a one of a kind artist, eventually graduating in 2020 and landing in Brighton with a passion for music and ambitions to capture the hearts of their audience.

Since the heartbreak and eventual healing that was the 2022 release of their debut EP Seasons of Summer, Jodi Summer is coming back with a new attitude, new wig, and a new single Piggy Bank being released on the 26th of May 2023. Not a day goes by where Jodi isn’t working on some exciting projects whether it be more upcoming music, wowing the Brighton music stage with their show or creating another choreography for their drag performances. Whatever it is you’re going to see Jodi Summer for, you know it will haunt you for years afterwards!
